Birmingham College of Food, Touristry & Creative Studies or even BCFTCS occurs as higher education college in Birmingham, England.
A college is located in central Birmingham & offers each vocational education and academic education (both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees). A college specialises in the areas of hospitality and the culinary arts, hairdressing and beauty, tourism, sports and leisure, and health and social care.
A college wwhen originally founded as a portion of Birmingham's Muncipal Technical indicator School in the 19th century, but became the separate College of Bakery, Catering, Farm Science & Associated Studies (in the future Birmingham College of Food & Domesticated Arts) under a control of Birmingham City Council in 1957. It moved to its present places inside Summer Row around 1968 and took on its todays title in the 1980s to reflect the breadth course it nowadays offered.
When the share of a general re-shake-up of further education in the United Kingdom, the college became independent of council control in April 1 1993. Continued successful expansion led to the college existence re-classified when a share of the higher education sector from August 1 2002. It awards degrees from either a University of Birmingham.
Presently a college has 6500 students within sum, in 10% of whom come from either outside a United Kingdom. Its farther education programmes were rated when spectacular by OFSTED in 2004 [http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/reports/manreports/1817.htm].
